FLORENTINE

FOUNDER, CEO & certified adU SPECIALIST

Florentine is a nationally recognized ADU expert, speaking at ADU events for planning departments, real estate boards and recently at the Federal Housing Finance Agency. She is a licensed instructor for the requisite course for the ADU Specialist designation through Earth Advantage. Additionally, Florentine was an instructor at the national ADU Academy 2022. She has served on a number of committees at the Casita Coalition to further small housing legislation, building code and lending opportunities.

Florentine combines her professional leadership experience in the fields of real estate, architecture, engineering and construction in her endeavor to tackle California’s housing crisis one Sidekick at a time. In this endeavor, Florentine returns to her building roots where she began working with the family construction business at age 14. By the time she graduated high school, she had experience in all aspects of residential home building from foundations to final finishes.

Florentine holds a masters degree in Organizational Systems with certificate in Building a Sustainable World from Saybrook University. When she is not helping homeowners with their ADU projects, Florentine enjoys playing urban farmer in her backyard garden with her four-legged companions, Zuri and Mister.

Tafari

When you call Sidekick, the first person you will likely speak with his Tafari Bernard. Tafari is an ADU Specialist with an extensive background in customer service. Tafari’s helpful and patient demeanor make him a favorite with our clients. He works hard to make sure he is on top of his ADU knowledge base so he can provide optimal value to homeowners. Tafari is eager to help and take great care of every person who calls Sidekick and seeks to provide exemplary service.

Tafari’s work philosophy is that it's important to take on new challenges, exercise honesty, and give back, in and outside of the workplace. When he is not working, Tafari enjoys exploring his artistic side at home with his family.

 

Morgan

adu sales consultant

Morgan Harly is an ADU Sales Consultant with a unique background which contributes to her knowledge and skills. Most recently Morgan shifted from her successful career in Real Estate over to specializing in ADU's due to her passion for helping individuals and families, and desire to positively impact the current housing crisis. Beyond her real estate and home improvement sales experience she has a formal background in Psychology and has around 6 years of experience working in mental health, driving her passion for thoughtfulness and the human-first approach in everything she does.

Morgan is passionate about maintaining a well-balanced life which is inclusive and thrives on diversity around her. Outside of work, Morgan loves spending time outdoors, being near water, and taking all of the time she can get with her spouse whom is in the military. Morgan also dedicates much of her time to her growing family, 2 rescue pets, and being creative through adventure and writing poetry.

 

Patricia

Drafter

Patricia is an accomplished draftsman with a wealth of experience, boasting over 5 years of expertise in designing a diverse array of structures, including buildings, hotels, offices, residential homes, casinos, and recreational spaces. Proficient in industry-leading software such as AutoCAD, Lumion, and Vray, she possesses the technical prowess to create visually captivating and practical designs.

Her problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities empower her to navigate intricate design challenges with ease, enabling her to devise innovative solutions that prioritize the well-being of the end users. Committed to delivering top-notch designs that align precisely with client specifications, Patricia consistently strives to contribute to the overall success of each project she undertakes. Her dedication and passion for excellence make her an invaluable asset in any design endeavor.

Office Manager

Joy, our Office Manager at Sidekick Homes, is the driving force behind the seamless management of our day-to-day operations. Her career journey commenced in the dynamic realm of the Business Process Outsourcing Industry, where she transitioned from a dedicated Call Center Agent to an accomplished Team Lead. With a robust background in Customer Service and Collections, Joy brings a wealth of experience to our team.

Motivated by an insatiable appetite for new challenges, Joy was thrilled to become a valued member of the Sidekick Homes family. Her positive attitude and boundless energy serve as a catalyst, inspiring her colleagues to strive for excellence and success.

Joy is deeply passionate about people development, consistently seeking opportunities to uplift and support her team members. Her commitment to fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment is truly commendable.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Joy draws inspiration from her daughter, partner, and the delightful company of her 21 feline friends. An avid lover of literature and cinema, she finds solace in books and movies. Loreyn

Project Coordinator

I am a licensed Electrical Engineer with over 5 years of extensive experience in Building Maintenance & Construction. Proficient in construction document management system software such as Procore & Aconex, I have successfully implemented a comprehensive filing system using SharePoint from scratch, benefiting the entire company. I understand the challenges of organizing and managing documents effectively, and I firmly believe that establishing proper habits in this regard can significantly streamline operations and enhance productivity for everyone involved.

In addition to document management, I excel in quantity take-offs using Bluebeam for Fire Protection, Mechanical, and Electrical projects, ensuring accurate estimations and efficient project planning.

Outside of work, I am passionate about creative pursuits such as journaling, DIY crafts, and generating engaging social media content. I prioritize spending quality time with my husband and son, often exploring parks and discovering new restaurants to indulge our culinary curiosity.

I am dedicated to continuous learning and growth both professionally and personally, and I am excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills and enthusiasm to your team.

Dora

systems administrator & Marketing specialist

Hailing from a sunny island of Singapore on the other side of the equator, Dora brings to the team her professional experience in marketing, social media, and design. Dora works much of her magic behind the scenes, making sure Sidekick’s systems are running effectively to support our clients.

As a recent transplant to Los Angeles, Dora loves the vibrancy of this city, variety of architectural styles and friendly locals. With previous experience in the travel and real estate industries, Dora brings a keen eye for detail and a global perspective to the Sidekick team.

When she is not working on Sidekick projects, Dora is kept busy with her precocious two-year old daughter.
